About us

Our artistic practice began in Iran, where we were active at the Firoozeh Art Workshop starting in 2012. During these years, we created numerous sculptures and relief artworks for public and private spaces, including large-scale projects for Tehran metro stations and other urban environments.

In 2017, my husband and I founded Atelier AFAGH, expanding our studio practice to include sculptural reliefs, ceramics, and site-specific artworks. Through this studio, we developed a wide range of works designed for both architectural and interior settings.

Over the years, our reliefs and sculptures have been installed in a variety of public and private spaces, such as metro stations, hotels, hotel lobbies, as well as private residences, workplaces, and commercial interiors. These works are created to engage directly with their surroundings and become an integral part of the space.

During this period, we also held a solo exhibition in EskiÅŸehir, Turkey, presenting our sculptural and relief works to a wider audience. In 2019, I participated in an exhibition in Izmir, Turkey, held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci.

Today, we continue our artistic practice in Canada, creating custom sculptural and relief works while maintaining a collaborative approach that connects art, architecture, and space.

Our Mission

Inspiring Artistic Expression

Our practice focuses on relief sculpture as a living connection between art, architecture, and everyday life. Rooted in a long cultural history and shaped by contemporary sculptural methods, our work brings depth, texture, and meaning to interior and architectural spaces.

By integrating sculptural techniques into wall-based reliefs, we create site specific works that engage with form, volume, light, and shadow. Each piece is designed in direct dialogue with its environment, becoming part of the space rather than a decorative surface.

Today, relief sculpture plays an active role in modern life appearing in homes, public spaces, and architectural interiors. Our work responds to this shift, creating tactile artworks that give identity to spaces and enrich the experience of those who inhabit them.

Our work is inspired by Persian visual traditions, including miniature painting, carpet patterns, and architectural ornament. These elements are not copied, but reinterpreted through sculptural relief, transforming flat patterns into depth, movement, and texture.

By translating traditional imagery into contemporary form, we connect cultural memory with modern space. This approach allows our reliefs to carry both history and a present-day presence, creating a quiet dialogue between past and now.
